Lysander Park Ninja Course
Lysander Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the installation of a Ninja Course at Lysander Park. The goal of the Ninja Course is to engage teens who have outgrown playgrounds but still want a place of belonging within the park. This Ninja Course was purchased with the CREST grant provided by Senator John Mannion and Greenfields Outdoor Fitness. It combines challenges of varying difficulties so nearly everyone can complete aspects of the course while also pushing their limits in a fun atmosphere.
Mimicking courses seen on the hit television show, American Ninja Warrior, the exhilarating design of Lysander’s Ninja Course brings playfulness back into fitness. It features classic obstacles like the cheese walls and iconic finish wall, as well as debuts Greenfields’ first set of flexible arm swings. The goal of the Ninja Course is to make exercise more enticing for all teens, even those who don’t play sports.
All who use Lysander Town Park’s Ninja Course can reap the plethora of benefits that come from combining time outdoors and exercise, including strengthened immune systems, improved mood and focus, reduced blood pressure and anxiety, improved sleep quality, reduced risks of chronic diseases, and more.
Lysander Parks and Recreation will be hosting a Grand Opening for the Ninja Course on August 24th, 5:00PM, at Lysander Park. Sunshine Ice Cream will be present, as well as American Ninja Warrior Champion, Adam Rayl. Adam found a real passion for athletics in Ninja Courses. After a year of Ninja training, Adam decided to compete in the reality television show American Ninja Warrior as a walk-on and earned a place in the Las Vegas National Finals. He then continued to make it into Stage 2 of the National Finals for the next five years, also taking home bronze two years in a row.
